Just got back from Denia. The use od english, reading and writing weren't very difficult, although I had to cross out some sentences in the third to meet the maximum number of words xD. Then I had a few doubts in the speaking, specially in the second part where you have to fill gaps in sentences with a word. I found the speaking to be the hardest part, since I got nervous (again) and I went blank a couple of times for a few seconds. I think I managed to get over it, though. Who knows, I might get the C1 after all.

Way to go, Moai! I've never undertaken an official english exam and I think I'll never do it. As far as you can prove you have a certain level you don't really need a certificate, but of course it ain't like that everywhere.
Are you being sinister or is thissome form of practical joke? I'm trying to come to the point. I refuse to give up my obsession. America stop pushing I know what I'm doing. America the plum blossoms are falling. I haven't read the newspapers for months, everyday somebody goes on trial for murder. America I feel sentimental about the Wobblies. America I used to be a communist when I was a kid I'm not sorry. I smoke marijuana every chance I get. I sit in my house for days on end and stare at the roses in the closet. When I go to chinatown I get drunk and I never get laid. My mind is made up there's going to be trouble. You should have seen me reading Marx. My psychoanalyst thinks I'm perfectly right.

In my opinion, it's not that simple. When someone reads your curriculum it could be discarded if it doesn't have a certificate attesting that you actually have a relevant level of English, nulling then your chance to prove anything. After all by a small movement of fingers they can quickly select another curriculum that actually have a certificate proving that a given person actually speaks English.

So unless you are such a highly skilled dude that can actually be incredibly attractive to a human resources man from a given company at first glance, I would try to get some sort of English certificate.

But could we change the topic a bit anyway? This one is boring, why don't we just talk about something dirty or funny?

    You're right in both posts.

Btw, I haven't been able to find out what "way to go" exactly means.

A literal translation would be "¡Esa es la manera de hacerlo!". But this expression isn't really used oftenly in Spanish (it kind of sounds so... formal?), so I personally think that if you needed to translate "that's the way to go", it would be better to do it as: "¡Así se hace! / ¡Bien Dicho!" depending on the context of course.

I don't know about him, but I unconsciously learnt it by playing videogames. It's something you say to someone when that someone says or does something that you consider it's the way to follow. Perhaps with an explicit example you'll get the picture better:

A-Wow, I'm so tired but I must keep my faith and motivation up, I'll never give up.
    B-That's the way to go!

I've learnt many useful expressions by watching NBA games; "way to go" it's one of them. I always talk from my personal experience, in which is not necessary to show an official pedobear seal of approval stamped in a certificate, but I also said "it ain't like that anywhere", so I could explain that I also know there are places where it's mandatory to show an official certificate, and at the same time speak like a gangsta' (ain't).

I have kind of an embarrasing doubt. Take a look at this sentence: "The future situation is uncertain. What do you think it will happen?" Is that it just fine? Do you guys think another word fits better?

I was thinking about using that because it sounded really strange to me. Thank you!
I didn´t have seen your question till now, and although too late, I will answer anyway.

The sentence: "What do you think it will happen" is perfect. Why do you think it sounds strange??.

If you say: "What do you think that will happen", the sentece is incorrect, because "that" is working as a linking word, and.... where is the subject for the verb "will happen?. A subject is always needed. So, you could also say: "What do you think that IT will happen?.

You can omit -that-, but you can not miss out -it-

Sorry, Damelsa, but I think you're wrong.

'What' works as the subject. There's no need for 'it' in that sentence.
